Choosing a good rain jacket
From my own experiences and purchases I can say without a doubt that these features are important to most of us:
- Built-in rain hood that tucks away in a zippered collar
- A fully zippered fleece liner that allows you to wear just the outer nylon shell or just the inner warm jacket. Combined they keep you both warm and dry.
- Plenty of pockets inside and outside for easy access or to keep things dry.
- Good breathable, nylon shell materials prevent sweating too much while walking or hikin
Obviously, the materials and the quality of the workmanship have made a huge difference in how this rain jacket has lasted so nicely over the years. For me, Marmot is the best choice.
